YAY, Fixed!

There we go!  I got all the photos/previews etc back up.  The only one post that doesn't have them all, becuase I can't find them is the Glass Lettering Tut.  Once I find all the photos I'll have them back up as well!

OH CRAP!

I went into my G+  (after forgetting for months that I had it, and deleted all the albums theres)...came to my blogs...and realized by deleting the albums, I lost ALL photos on each blog!  So hang in there with me while I reupload my photos!!  SORRY!!!!

FTU Tut - Outlined Glass Lettering/ Simple Tag

***PLEASE NOTE:  This is my FIRST TUT.  So forgive any mistakes, and let me know if you see any.  ***

This Tut was wrote in PSPX2 but can be done in any other PSP version. 

You Need:

Large Blocky Font of Choice - I used LHF Boston Truckstyle this time

Script Font - This time I used La Portenia de la Boca

Noise

Eye Candy 5: Impact - Gradient Glow, and Glass

Tube of Choice

*Note - Each time you add a new layer to your Font look, I suggest Linking them all together, in case you have to move it all.

(I always keep a copy of my font in vector form, in case I want to change the wording or names on a tag, and keep it toggled off, so it's hidden.)

Now, Here we go:

Do up your tag as you normally would before adding your font you want to turn into glass.
OR
Jump Right into your glass wording first.

Pick two colors from your tube/tag and set as Forground/Background Gradient with 3 repeats with these settings for your font and gradient color.

Then:  Duplicate your font layer, Hide the original font vector layer and convert the duplicate to raster layer.

Select All > Float > De-float > Expand Selection by 3 to 5 (depending on preference)

Add a new layer below your font layer, toggle the font layer visibility off, and link the new layer with your font layer.

Now flood fill the selection on the new layer with a very light color from your tube.  Or you can just use white.

  With flood fill still selected:  Add Noise,
Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise > with these settings:

 Add Gradient Glow to your Noise layer:
Deselect All
Noise Layer, select a very dark color from your tube or use black:
Effects > Eye Candy 5: Impact > Gradient Glow

Go to your font layer now and toggle it back on, toggle your noise layer off so it's invisible.

Select All > Float > De-float

Copy your tube and paste a couple layers of it, and arrange them until all of your selected font is covered.

  Once happy with your tube placement Merge all tube layers (But DON'T merge them to your font gradient OR noise layers)

Selections > Invert > Delete > Select None

You should now have 3 layers for your font so far, that are all linked together.

From here you can do one of TWO different layering techniques:

Style 1:

Leave your tube layer OVER your gradient layer, and set the Blend Mode to Overlay on your tube layer.

OR

Style 2:

Place tube layer under your gradient layer, and set blend mode on your gradient layer to Color Legacy

Toggle your noise layer to Unhide it and check how your progress looks/blends.

Last - Click on your top layer again,
Selections > Select All > Float > De-Float

Add a New blank raster Layer and put it on top of all your font layers, this way you add your glass to a blank new layer.

On your new layer add your Glass Look:
Effects > Plug Ins > Eye Candy: Impact 5 > Glass with these settings:

Should now have this:

You are now either done, and can quit, or follow along for the rest.

Now that you have your Glassed Lettering Done, we'll add a NEW copy of your tube.

Resize so it fits your tag/lettering to your tastes.

Next we need to add your Name

Select your font (I used a script font) select a solid, single, light color from your tube.

Duplicate your font, and convert to raster.  Toggle your vector layer off so you can't see it.

Select All > Float > De-float > Expand Selection by 3 to 5 (depending on preference)

Pick two DARK colors this time from your tube/tag and set as Forground/Background Gradient with 3 repeats with these settings for your font gradient color.

Add a new layer below your font layer, toggle the font layer visibility off, and link the new layer with your font layer, and flood fill with your dark gradient.

 Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise 

Make all your layers visible (except your two font vector layers) to see how it looks, add your copyright information, and a mask or background layer if you so choose, save as .png and your done!
